About Bertie Edwards
Artist Bio...
Roberta "BERTIE" Edwards:
Lives in Shreveport Louisiana.
Bertie creates in many mediums, oil, graphite, colored pencil, pastel, water color, and photography for the most part, but also enjoys finding ways to use whatever sparks her imagination.
She is a self taught artist, and has learned the arts by experimentation with different mediums and gleaning knowledge from books and studying the beautiful works of other artists she admires.
Bertie's passion for creating and appreciation of art is evident in her own works.
Artist Statement...
My art comes from an inner passion, a personal love of beauty.
I strive for the emotional response from you, my viewers, that you may feel a connection with my work, or a pull towards serenity or excitement.
That you may look and ponder my landscapes, maybe of days gone by, or somewhere you would like to be...
Step inside and stay awhile.
My wildlife pieces, I work towards inviting you to use your imagination, to see and feel the furs and feathers, the hides, the scales...
The greatest compliment an artist can receive is to present to the viewer a place of imagination to escape into for just a moment in time.
